I met Lorraine when we were both working on our PhDs. She is a talented artist and incredibly interesting person. I never knew people had rats for pets — but she does. Turns out rats are intelligent, affectionate, and cute.
Meet jaki, a sexy ninja badass vixan
When I first started working on Jaki’s Wacky Adventure, it was supposed to be an educational game. So, the ‘Jaki’ that I drew was very Disney styled and appealed to younger audiences. Students loved the educational game but kept asking for more ‘just for fun’ content. They wanted more combat, adventure, action and story. A new “Jaki” was born as the game was completely re-written and revised into an action-adventure RPG with over 50 hours of game play.

As the game design became more complex with challenging puzzles, deeper dialogue, more complex characters, a “Disney” fox just didn’t fit the game anymore. I reached out to Lorraine and said “can you sex up my fox a bit – she is too cute and cuddly. I want a bad-ass ninja scientist who represents a strong female role model and can go up against the worst evil sorcerer in the world. She said, “I was meant for this role” and came up with this amazing game capsule.
